WARNING! This company is very dodgy. Google their website and you'll find all warm fuzzy guff about how 'we want to help you get out of debt' etc. Don't be fooled! It's bullsh*t! I've been informed by associates that work in finance that they buy debt from finance companies, banks etc. for very small amounts in the dollar then pursue the alleged debtor relentlessly not only for the full amount but adding their 'çosts' and more interest. More importantly I've been told that often the debt is not actually real! Do not answer or allow them to make contact with you in any way! If you do speak to them or respond to an email they can then legitimately lodge the debt as a default against you and totally screw your credit score/rating! There's a statute of limitations on debt in Australia. After 5 years if you have not been able to be contacted and have not admitted to owing the debt you cannot be pursued any further and if the alleged debt is on your credit record it is removed.

These people left a voicemail with no info except to call them urgently. Many sites say they are dodgy debt collectors called Pioneer. I have no outstanding debt so have blocked them. Anyone who calls and says “this is RJ call me urgently” with no other details is pretty much a scam.

I called back number 0490 434 900 spoke to a woman who said company name is Pioneer Credit.
