Caller: Claimed to be from Westpac

Wanted to confirm my mobile device- given I have no connection with them thought it odd

A scam number

Claiming to be Westpac - asking to click a link to confirm device "to avoid service restrictions".
We have nothing to do with the bank so definately suspicious.

Caller: Claiming to be Westpac via text message

Wanted to confirm my mobile device- given I never use my mobile to do my banking, this sounded really suspicious

Caller: 0481 955 019

Westpac: For security concerns we have restricted your services. To fully restore your account visit https://wpb.mobile-services.app to confirm your device.

I rang the number it hung up and I certainly wasn’t going to enter my banking login details.

Scam!!

Just received a message with a link to restore "my account". I don't have any Westpac account - dodgy.

Text message claiming to be from Westpac:

Westpac: We still didn't hear from you. To avoid service restrictions please visit <link not associated with a Westpac domain> to confirm your mobile device.

Looks like a scam, so I deleted the text without responding to it or visiting the link.
