When called it was recorded message from Pacific super

I called my Superfund immediately And rang to report to ATO

Called ATO - nothing has been applied for and this transaction was not in place. ATO suggested not to respond just block number

Got an sms confirming I had ask for COVID-19 release of super, I hadn't. Called the number from a generic office phone and got a recorded message from "Pacific Super" asking for my details to confirm registration.

Its not Australian Super But phone answers "Pacific Super". Dial the Number before you make this statement please. Most likely you find MYGOV account was hacked asking for it. Check that you have your account listed not another one on MYGOV

the number 0480 046 150 is a legit number from (Australian Super) and the text message accompanied with it reads
The ATO have notified Australian Super to pay your approved COVID-19 early release of super. If you did NOT request this payment,reply to this SMS immediately with the word 'NO' so we can stop the payment.We will generally process your payment within 5 working days.
(I have used exactly the sane annotations and grammar) in my original text message, i rang Australian Super and the ATO and all is well.

I have now lost $10,000.00 to scammers on this number. Most likely i will end up in a jail when i trace them as not only them, but there cousins, aunties, brother and sisters will face extreme measures.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MYGOV ACCOUNT! We've had both ours hacked and applications for 20K of our super have been lodged by the hackers. If you've received this message, there's a chance someone has lodged an early release application on your behalf and it is genuinely your Super fund asking permission to release the funds. DON'T IGNORE THIS MESSAGE! Find the phone number for your super fund (don't call the number in the message) CALL YOUR SUPER FUND and check.

My husband got this message tonight. Turns out someone has hacked BOTH our myGov accounts and lodged applications for 10K from each of us for early release of our super. Please, if you get this message, check your myGov account. It's likely someone has fraudulently accessed your myGov account and is actively in the process of stealing your superannuation.

Received sms regarding early super release. Like previous poster said, when you dial the number you get an automatic message from "Pacific Super" asking you to register which is very off since only ATO administers early super release.
