Text message rrquesting NBN feedback on the promise of potentially recieving a prize (link in msg). No company name in text either. Never had nbn, so I'm extremely sceptical. Rating as scam/fishing. Click link at your own risk. Text message: nbn kindly requests feedback on your experience. You could win 1 of 5 $500 eGift Vouchers! Click https://nxt.to/bwxYfn. To opt out reply STOP to 0457 062 602 - the website is false and the number a scam. Caller: nbn
I believe this is a legitimate message from nbn. Received this message 2 days after my nbn was installed: "nbn requests feedback on your recent nbn technician experience. Pls complete this 1 min survey here https://nxt.to/*******."
Upon clicking the shortened link it took me to a personalised page on https://yourexperience.nbnco.com.au/ where my address was displayed with 4 very short questions about my recent nbn experience.
To future posters: probably best not to post your personalised link as it shows your address, lol...
I regularly get this text saying to click on link or reply with STOP, not doing either as we don't have nbn. Telstra even gave us a credit as we were paying them for nbn but not getting the service in our area. This is a SCAM and if you click on link or reply they have your phone as active number and will onsell to other scammers. Even those that click and say it's legit anyone can make the link LOOK legit - doesn't mean it is. Why would NBN send a text when NBN is all about Internet & emails?????? IT'S A SCAM.
This is a SCAM Caller: NBN (apparently)

I looked up the website and it took me to a survey page asking to answer a few questions. The first question they wanted to know if they had my correct address. I got to thinking why wouldn't NBN know my current address. It was showing my previous address, but I didn't have the NBN on then. So alarm bells rang! Please don't be fooled, be constantly vigilant against these SCAMMERS!
No, its a SCAM. I got the message and haven't had a technician experience since NBN was fitted 2 years ago. Caller: 0457 062 626
If these irritating sh*t-encrusted d*ck helmets don't stop calling and messaging me i'm going to use my huge amount of free time (i have no life and lead a sad existence) to find out via XCM leads who they are and take them out.
2 x text messages with link to "feedback" and phone number to opt out.
NBN do not contact persons unsolicited, expect is a phishing scam.
Despite what people are saying here, it's a legitimate text from NBNco. Easiest proof being go to the url in the message, it links straight up with NBNco's website, HTTPS and all. more spam UNWANTED Just because it doesn't ask for a login or password doesn't mean it's not a scam. It asks you to complete a survey or to opt out by replying STOP to a specific mobile number. Either way, if you do either of these things, they will have verified your mobile number which, as others have pointed out, they can on-sell to other scammers or advertisers or use for future scam calls and messaging themselves. I have had NBN for 6 years, there are no problems in my area and there is no reason at all why they would suddenly start asking for feedback after all this time. At the moment I still get the annoying robo-calls on my landline from the steely-voiced "Nicole" threatening immediate disconnection and more recently from young Asian-accented person claiming to be my internet provider informing me of various problems that I don't actually have - these calls are also on my landline. Pretty sure if I took either of the response options offered in this fake SMS message I'd be getting a whole lot of spam rexts and calls on my mobile too. At the moment I only get about one such messag per year!! You requested me to reply to a one minute survey regarding the NBN technician who had an appointment to connect my system on Monday 26th June, 8am to 12pm.
He said he came to our house. We were waiting for him but he could not have pressed the door bell firmly enough and we did not hear him knock. Consequently he left and then sent a message. I phoned him back and he told me that he had cancelled the order and I would have to apply again. I have phoned Telstra at least a dozen times and all I get is to call back during business hours. Everyone of my calls has been during business hours.
Absolutely fed up. Please arrange another visit - if you ever get around to reading this
Re 11 July 2019 SMS. That looks like a different one and not the scam offering gidt cards as prizes. Is most probably a very sophisticated scam. I have received 11 of these messages on my mobile. Yes, it started just after I got NBN, but why are the first couple of links from LATVIA, then a few from TONGA and now AUSTRALIA. The Scammers are clearly getting clever. They must be hacking NBN's system or whatever system the y use to contact the contractors who install the lines. Or someone may just be selling your personal details on to them... I had the same NBN message as others. I didn't click the link as it stood out as scammy.
NBN are wholesalers not retailers so only your providers (iiNet etc) will have your details.
This is a legitimate text message, web address checks out. Survey it in depth and does not ask for login or password or any suspicious details.
Scammers, calling and sanding msm on “ kindly request your feedback NBN with on line address https://survey.nbn.com.au/vQZVw1n , or https://survey.nbn.com.au/diNj5ww . Crooks, scammers. !!! Message says nbn survey to be completed for one of 5 eCard wins ....when I clicked the; takes me nowhere.
I have been with nbn for over 3 years now......maybe the survey team is a bit too early on feedback collection. He...heee
We just got NBN and then got this same reported SMS Survey shortly after, listing our address. Thus, appears very legit, apart from the nxt.to short URL (.to is for domains in Tonga). My advice is that if there's a 5% chance something is a scam, then assume it must be. Assume the scammers are getting smarter. If a company with the resources of NBN creates a customer experience survey of doubtful provenance, then they are incompetent and do not deserve the requested feedback. The origin of this survey (the source number and the link URL) is doubtful, so assume it's a scam or NBN is incompetent. Either way, play it safe and DO NOT click/respond.
