Yup, I fell for this wanker too.
They contacted me on Gumtree re: concert tickets, asked me to send the $ and they would post the tickets. Tickets never came.
They claimed to be this person:

I didn't know there were jerks like this still around. But, I'm sure what goes around comes around. I'm hoping they get caught.

Exact same story as all the previous stories, wanted tickets off gumtree, transferred him money, gave him my address to post the tickets and haven't received tickets and still haven't heard from him. I am getting in contact with the police tomorrow.

This bloke is complete utter scum.

He tried messaging me about a bike he had for sale because I had a wanted add on gumtree, he sent me the same name and details saying he would freight the bike. after I played him along and talked sh*t to catch him out. People like this need to be shot.

So his new Allies is Kane Kairns i was his last victim.

Ive called NAB since im not a customer their was nothing they could do.
But surely if stolen money is being deposited into your bank you would want to know about it or maybe not?

It is so unfair that the system i so wrong that ppl get away with this. How can we put an end to this the farther he goes the more pro he becomes the more ppl he rippes off and what can we do it about it?

Yes I was scammed, by this guy for WTB tickets on Gumtree.

He gave me Westpac details. He claimed to be from Perth but his bank account was located in Shepparton VIC.

Called him few times, put on an Asian accent. claiming wrong number. Never got tickets.

Anyone have an address for this guy? Would love to pay him a visit!

It's a gumtree scammer. His name is Mathew Cope. His bank details are bsb013737 Acc(02) 8964 7357 ANZ bank.

I was scammed by this number via Gumtree Perth, I had add "Wanted V Capri Tickets", this person texted me and got me to pay for electronic tickets first before he was going to forward them. Of course he never sent them.

Hi I was scammed for electronic tickets on gum tree, he contacted me from my Wanted Tickets add on Gumtree and made me pay first and then never sent tickets. He rang me and I received emails from him. He was Australian accent, male about 25 -30 years, used name Matt Cope/or Copes. The Westpac acc he gave has this name too.
