Yep just got a call:
Received a strange call on my mobile at 12:15pm by number 0449 830 505 advising that they were from the Victorian Police did not give a name asking if I would like to assist the police in a special project as he went on I asked what it was and he then said that it’s something the ‘cops’ are putting together to assist the communities. I became extremely suspicious when he used the term ‘Cops’ and asked him to put it in an email with a letter head and his full details including his number ID his answer was ‘first we are call number of local businesses to see if they would help, once they yes then we give them the information’ I advised him that well if this is the case then I would not be able to assist as he could be anyone with a scam. He said thank you for time and then hung up. Found this to be very concerning…… if this was a scam fool didn’t hide his number…..

Got a call saying he is from the police football team magazine. Dodgy as just so pushy 800 bucks for a ad and claiming it will give me exclusive business with the cops scam for sure.

"Jack Jones" from emergencymedia trying to sell dodgy advertisement "packages" in a police dairy that no-one has heard of. For this reason they will advise you will receive a copy of the dairy. You'll never get any business from it

Received a call from this number from a Peter West for a sponsor ad in their QPCOUE diary. At first I thought it was legit but he sent a confirmation text wanting to me to AGREE to the ad from a different number 0418 891 044), then I became SUSS!! He then phoned me again later on from two different mobile numbers 0412 391 582 & 0411 780 729). He sent email didn't open it & deleted it straight away

Just got a call from this number, asked hello is this (my company name) then hung up. when I called back I got an answering machine for Jack Jones. Weird. Glad to see that Im in good company.

Got a call from this number and ignored it. Then received a text saying they were from Star Showcase talent agency, calling about TV work, with a link to their website asking me to apply there. If they were legitimate, why would they call me about work...BEFORE I'd ever applied?

Checked on ASICS and they have actually registered the name of Emergency Media. I have received the diary but will not be paying.

Yep I did a security check & they have not come back with any stars. Be very suspicious

just received funny phone call from "jack jones" claiming to be with Union for qld police commission and wanting to know if I would like to place an advertisement in yearly calendar/diary for police force.

These morons are totally unscrupulous... This is what the number shows..

Just got a call from the same fellow. I actually almost fell for it, until i received their payment form, and the bank account name is : QPCOUE Diary

Why would you have a bank account at the police union just for that?

Just got a call from this same number - I am based in WA. $795 for a 3 business card sized advert, only have to pay once you receive the diary - sounds fishy! Website for the group is dodgy as well, not very professional, very little contact information and not very much information about the members www.cibsc.org. The sponsors of the cibsc website, ///emergencymedia is very minimal and also has a disclaimer indemnifying any losses or claims etc. Called at 11:35am
