Caller: So called Google partner

Call from an overseas call centre, wanting to sell me an optimised web site and Google search optimisation. But at a higher cost than my local Web Host company.

Called 4 times in a row then again a few hours later.

Says they're a Google partner and wanted to verify details. Then got into the online world and that my customers can't find me there because my details have not been optimised. Went on to compare other businesses in my area that are the complete opposite of what I do. Wouldn't take no for an answer even when I explained that my Google listing does not drive our business. Lady kept persisting and so did I until I wore her out, after 20 mins and she hung up. LOL!

I had the same call from this mobile today asking for info on my business to help people find it on Google. When I asked for the Google landline to call her back she provided the landline (02) 8011 4796 which is a cat food company in WA.

Guy phoned stated he was from Google & they were getting calls about my business so they needed to update my details. A definite scam as l only started setting up my business a week ago & haven’t started trading yet. l never give out personal or business details over the phone anyway, just hung up.

A Woman called saying she was from a google partner asking me all sorts of questions about how I would like my business to be marketed on google. Very annoying and insistent. Scam.

Someone called me claiming they were from google and wanted to charge me something to optimise my google my business. I wasn't going to make a decision on the spot so I told the guy to send me an email, and the guy started to get upset. I later received an email from an agency called Jet Digital wanting to charge me $299 to for their optimising services. Anyway it seemed very dodgy, possibly a scam.

called claiming i have a free listing for my business they found on google. i don’t have a google listing. said i automatically got a website when i got an ABN. can’t tell you what your business is - try to make you give them all your business details even though they apparently have them which makes no sense. overseas scam call centre.
