This is a scam. Received a text message that says:

"Records indicate you were in involved in an accident in the last 2.5 years. As such you are entitled to a claim compensation. Replay CLAIM for info or STOP to opt out"

I suspect if you reply with "CLAIM" you will be signed up to some sort of subscription service with regular amounts added to your phone bill.

Yep, I got the same message and when I called and spoke to them and asked them what records indicated I had been involved in an accident, they hung up.

I have reported this scam today to the ACCC please continue to report this number to them.

it give a link "www.qu1.in", looks like an indian domain website, but please do not access the link, possible a phishing website.

got the same scam as everyone else. I am on the do not call register and I believe that these scammers are targeting people on the do not call register. If the Accc got the finger out perhaps they could catch these crooks. Should not be so difficult but then again they are hopeless, I have received the same by phone many times before-just a scam.

I am sure it is scam as I didn't have any accident at all!

I think you'll find most smartphones can do that.
