I keep getting spam SMSs from this number regarding compensation claims for an earlier car accident.

I just got it too! From 0427 741 861...
"We believe you were involved in an accident in the last 2.5 years. As such you are entitled to claim compensation. Reply CLAIM for info or STOP to opt out"
DO NOT REPLY TO THESE TEXTS!
It's a phishing scam that aims to test which mobile numbers are 'real'/active (numbers generated at random). If you reply they know your number is owned/valid and you'll be spammed like crazy.
So frustrating!

I've gotten at lease 1 of these a day for the last week, lodge a complaint with ACMA here:
