Caller: Police - not a scam

This is a Queensland Police number. If they send you a txt they will include in it a landline to a police station for you to call back. Not a scam.

Caller: Said they were police

Sent txt msg about some incident in Surfers, who is Marcus with the Hilux? Called number back 0426 305 444 - call can't be connected

They said they were a constable from a text and to book an appointment at specific police station two days later I get a call from a no caller ID asking for my address so that they could swing by but I told them I’m physically coming to the station and I was ghosted

Yes this is a police number. Also had a voice mail message left from a landline number regarding a crime from my stolen number plates. All connected. Not a scam at all.

Call back this number, it is confirmed the number is from police.

I too also received a false text message. The "landline" number listed in the SMS is not the phone number for the Redcliffe Police Station.
