I got this text:

Got txt saying I have business proposal worth $47.1M. Get back to me, from name of Howard Lee with email link. Obviously a scam that’s still operating under this new number.

Nigerian scam

Why do you assume he GOT your number? Its just a number, I can dial any combination of numbers, private or listed. Your number is not somehow protected from random dialing.

This is an obvious scam from a person calling themselves “Howard Lee”. Text message received at 1:43am. L Not sure how they got my number.

I suspect this is related to Dominos Pizza selling customer data, as the data was allegedly stolen from one of the people it was sold to. If you're also getting weird emails from people asking if you want sex in the suburb of your pizza place, this is almost certainly related.
