Sent suspicious text. Number: 0415 439 768

Scam/phishing sms from this Aussie mobile no. If I reply to an aol.co.uk email I'll inherit $9million.

The day that I received this SMS (19 October), I passed it on to a UK police website for reporting such matters. I see from Laura's post of 21 October that the scammers have already changed their contact email address and UK phone number.

Received a text message from this number saying "this is to notify you that FedEX have a parcel containing a certified cheque from Millionlotteri to be delivered to you Contact us on fre******y7 @ aol.co.uk". There are other scams in the reverseaustralia website that have the same email address, however, this mobile number is not listed (yet)

Received Sms with
'Congrat! Your number has won you (euro dollar sign) 989,000 in the Danmarks Millionlotteri Promo. For Claims send Ref:EDQ063 to freelot.newton @ aol.co.uk Tel +447448041875"

Text said my number had won €989,000 & to contact uk email address.

Others have recieved same messages.

Scam SMS, purporting that I've a prize in a Danish lottery promotion, and giving an AOL(UK) email address and a UK phone number to contact to claim my "prize". I wouldn't be surprised if the displayed phone number is spoofed, though.
