They just rang and then said sorry wrong number and hung up. Very strange

Female caller stating she was from Australian Institute of Research (non existant organisation). After briefly hearing my voice female caller stated "can't here ya" and hung up. As per previous posts, very dodgy.

I have this number entered into my phone as DNA...10 calls from 10/5 to 3/7.

Caller said 'this is Rachael from the Australian Institute of Research'. I said I am at work can this be done another time and she hesitated followed by aahhhhhhhhh, ok and hung up. She sounded quite dopey and obviously not ready for the response. When I call the number from a landline it is engaged.

Rang to say they were from the Australian department of research, looking to advise on how to reduce tax though property tax deductions. Asked if I had more than 150k in equity in property. Told me to expect a call from the "ATO" in a few days. This is a scam - they are trying to source identity information from you to extort money or lodge fake tax returns. Hang up, or warm them that you cut the toes of people which steal from you. Your call.

this number has called a couple of times and they hang up when you say hello...tonight I hung up on them before they had the chance..

I think this is the second time they've called me. I answered the phone, and there was no response then they hung up. Weird..

Already had this number diverted to voicemail based on suspicion it was SPAM.

This time, the caller left a message thinking I had answered: ‘Good afternoon this is Bruce calling from the Australian Institute of Research, how are you today?” He had an Aussie accent.

A quick google search and ABN check revealed there is no such registered company/organisation as the Australian Institute of Research…

got call today on that number and says from Australian institute of management wont be taking much of the time and throw questions straight away. When ask who she was, she just says "uhhhh" and hung up! Should blocked this number

The number called today and when I said hello there was no response. They hung up after that. Weird..

They call and ask you if this is (insert name) to try to make you say 'yes' then they hang up.
So then they have a recording of you saying 'yes' to your name and then they make a new recording of them talking to you and they say that you agreed to purchasing items. Similar to the 'can you hear me?' scam.. Beware..

Rang me today, Friday 16 June 2017. Marketer selling plans on how to invest in "government" services so as not to get taxed by the ATO. I said NO, hung up and promptly blocked the number....
