tax incentive call centre

I got the "Australian institute of research " message, and that they were advising of tax benefits. I said I was a CPA - they said "whats that" - certified practising accountant - a lie, but enough to know they were BS.

Have had numerous calls from this number, on mobile which I've blocked, and an unlisted home landline. They call looking for "Jodie". Tonight was about the 5th answered call, and after several unfriendly exchanges with the caller (unidentified) from the Australian Institute of Research (which by the way doesn't exist), I was told to lose my attitude, and then the "intellect" on the end of the phone hung up. Yeah right, loser, who has to call pretending to be someone from something that doesn't exist. Lose my attitude in my own home from an absolute nuisance, no way!

Dodgy, dodgy, dodgy. Can't ring them back. Scammers.

"Australian Institute of Research" scam. Started talking about tax incentives and wanting details on whether I was a property owner. Ended call when I declined to answer.

Also received a call from 0422 620 631 claiming to be the same thing, tax incentives from the Australian Research Institute. Had previous calls which I missed from this number 0413 591 836.

Caller said they were from Australian Institute of Research and did I have time to answer questions. I said yes but how could I verify who they were as it was just a mobile. Female responded "It sounds like you will just query anyone who calls" them hung up! Obviously not legit.

Has been blocked on my landline as they call about 4 times a day, every day.

These Morons have called my mobile phone a number of times in the last 2 weeks. Tried calling back either no answer or busy. found this website and learned about this scam. Just sent a response text telling them that I was reporting them to the Authorities and have since blocked them.

this number rang and said from the Australian Institute of Research, asked questions qualifying age, own home, income level etc. Said someone would ring back...then rang me whilst driving and I said please ring later...said aggressively to me "don't you have hands free/" I said yes but ring me later...I will now not answer any more calls from this number...

Left me a creepy heavy breathing voicemail not a word just heavy breathing

This girl called and said her name was Ebony from some Australian Market Research. Her Australian accent disarmed me from thinking it was a scam - but it clearly was! I was stupid and told her we had a combined household income of $90k per year and that we had a home and a rental property with $150,000 or more equity. She said someone would call me in a few days to talk about some ATO tax offsets that I might not be aware about. I was nice and said 'OK, thanks'! She kept calling me 'mate'. It unsettled me afterwards so I googled the name and found this page. Feeling frustrated at myself that I'm such a trusting person!

0413 591 836 rang my mobile 5 minutes ago.
I did not talk.
They hung up.

Dumbasses.

Hang up on me, can't call back. Strange

6 calls from this number (all missed) since 26/5... have tried calling back but unable to. After reading these posts I will be blocking the number, thanks!
