The person answered a "wanted" ad I'd placed on Gumtree website for concert tickets, provided me with bank account details, accepted $200 payment, and failed to provide the tickets that I've paid them for.

He worked for my company back in 2010 and changed invoice bank details to his own whilst I was on maternity leave. He stole over $70,000. Cops are still after him. Can't wait for them to catch you Clint you deserve everything that is coming and eventually you'll get done. Never trust this person with anything.

This guy is a scammer, he 'sold' me 2 x Ben Howard tickets, I asked to pay by Paypal but he didn't have an account. Paid $140 by bank deposit, his phone has been off ever since. I called my local police station and he has 9 pending fraud charges against him. I'm going to report him today, hopefully with these statements they'll be able to track him down and charge him and we'll get our money back! Absolute scum.

Same story as everyone else, said he was located in a town a little bit too far for me to drive. Paid him via bank deposit because he didn't have paypal, money transfered at which point he said his wife had already sold the tickets and he would refund them to me. Never heard from him again + no refund. Until yesterday he sent me a message saying that his refund had bounced back to him. I ripped him a new one, explaining to him just how much sh*t he was in and he got very defensive saying that he "works for up to two weeks in the middle of nowhere" and that he would sue for defamation of character hahaha. Have lodged police report today, waiting to hear back from LAC but given that there area already court proceedings it seems promising. I strongly encourage everyone who still has the appropriate evidence to jump on the bandwagon.

PS. He is a gambling addict, finance by his scams.

Hey Guys,

same thinking happened to me. All of you should make a statement with the police. Turns out he is from sale area. They've found him and he's gone to court. I haven't got money back, but they're calling me regularly with updates and it looks promising!

If you want to get your money back going to the police is your best bet!

This is such a weird coincidence - I'd been scammed by CLINT WIEBENGA back in 2009. 300 bucks down the drain for a 'second hand wii'. Same email and all.
I can't believe he's managed to screw people over three years later. Please let me know if they catch the prick and I'll join the brigade.

Dear Clint,

You may be laughing this off. But there is one thing with online banking, everything is tracked.

See you soon!

Hi there,

I have been scammed by him as well, thought it was too good to be true!! Can we contact the bank as we have the details for transferring the money??

Is Gumtree aware of it?

$240 for two camping tickets, seemed so genuine. I am furious as that is just wrong.

Scammed me out of $150 for GTM Bunbury tickets, provided realistic looking scan of the ticket and asked for half payment (2 tickets) and tickets never eventuated.
