Something about solar rebates? There was nothing overtly dodgy about anything she said, except that said she was from the government and the government does not cold call regarding solar rebates, and it was a noisy call centre, with screaming in the background. She didn't seem to be able to speak English beyond the script she had in front of her and it took me ages to work out what she wanted (I was bored). I think the actual scam happens if you agree to have them call you back. We've had this call about 3 times in the last month and I was curious to see what it was about.

I called back number 0412 257 842 rang 3 times then goes to busy tone.

Calling to tell me that 'the Federal Government is offering a four thousand dollar rebate' but couldn't explain what the rebate was for. Tried to identify if I was a home owner, and offered to have a local representative call me back. Strong Indian accent, to the point of it being very hard to understand some of her sentences.

Hard to see what sort of scam it might be, but not a legit sales approach given that they are ignoring the do not call register.
