Same here, be wary since I just received similar messages with option of extra $200 to take down ad as well as his email still being gavinwilliams212 @ gmail.com

I received an SMS from this number asking me to email gavinsilliams212 @ gmail.com but I had more than one item listed and they did not indicate to which item they were referring. This is a scam and I have reported it to Gumtree.

Same as all the others, received a few SMS this morning after posting car for sale on Gumtree last night. All from the same number, different stories and email addresses on each message. Replied to 1 then thought it was weird they all came from the same number. Glad I checked here.

Due to the nature of my work i am a very busy man working all day, am a (Operating officer) am presently on-board, i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through Account to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account ,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in NT for my son .Await your reply.

Same story with me, I posted on gumtree this morning and he texted me this afternoon asking to email him only.

Posted car for sale on Gumtree, Faz send me a message for my bank details so as he can pay into it. Scammer. Why has not the telecommunications people blocked his phone account?

I received the same email and she is trying to say she wanted to buy the car for her son.

They need to be shut down quick.
