Caller: Scammer

Someone using fake profiles on Facebook to scam people on market place. Stupid enough to give away his phone number.

This guy called at 8.50pm AEST. He stated that he was calling from Afterpay and that someone had tried to access my account. He had kids and a dog barking in the background, and he explained covid meant he was working from home. His first move was to ask if I was Shannon, I said yes. He then explained that they detected unauthorised access to my afterpay account, and he needed my home address. He knew my mobile phone number, my Suburb and my name. I stated that the call was unsual and that he should send me an email. I instead received a one time pin to reset my password, and he asked me to read it out.

The guy spoke perfect english, and may have had a slight middle eastern accent. The phone number was a mobile, 0404 211 121.

Scammer trying to fake being an afterpay employee. Sounds very unprofessional.
