I called back number 0402 667 634 reached voice mail for a charity company but did not say the name.

Caller: A charity on behalf of Greenpeace Australia

They were calling to thank me for my support on a number of petitions recently and had a lot of my details already. They wanted me to join their membership program (donation), in order to support them in an initiative with the UN to protect our oceans. It seemed very legit, until I came on here and found the above reviews. Now unsure if it was a scam or not.

a company acting on behalf of charities i sponsor, called them back and got a recorded message spiel about charities so obviously charities are outsourcing their phone calls, blocked number

Didn't leave any message. Scam call. Legit would leave a message so we could ring back.

Caller: SCAM

This number called me and pretended to be Greenpeace. They were very convincing and had a lot of personal information about me but I realised they were a scam when they asked for my bank details and didn't use the same processes that Greenpeace usually do.
