Caller: Jordan

Said name was Jordan and calling from Neighbourhood magazine and was "getting back in touch with me" about advertising. Told him is the 6th call I have had from a fake magazine and to delete my number.

Wanted to confirm an advertising subscription I did not sign up for. When asked where they got my details they said a 'business listing database'. When questioned when I signed up, they said their staff "accidentally confirmed" my advertising requirements. I have no advertising requirements so I spoke to the manager (didn't sound like a manager) who couldn't confirm their company details, phone or anything else.

Caller: Charmaine from Emergency Services Magazine

These people were calling "to confirm my subscription" and denied saying this almost instantly as soon as I questioned it. They said it was an honest mistake and human error though from the amount of negative reviews, the "honest mistake" part has to be a joke. The women had Australian accents, which is a shame because I didn't think people took jobs this lowly. Swinging around a pole is a more respectable profession than what these sorry ladies are trying to achieve.

Call is scam saying you signed up for advertising months before and now they want payment.

I called back number 0401 308 500 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.
