I received a similar call and did not pick up but they left a message (sounds very computerised) on having a lawsuit against me and I needed to call back. Sounds like a scam to me.

Scam from ATO calling about a law suit and asking for a call back on the number he gave otherwise you will be arrested if you did not call. This kind of call should be reported to ATO asap if anyone received it. The caller sounds like an automated machine, if its coming from ATO, real person will call or they will send a letter.

Same phone call with a robotic voice, telling me I'm being investigated for tax fraud and that if I don't call back I'll be arrested. What a load of rot!

Scammers. Called today and left a voicemail. It was a computer generated voice telling me to call back or an arrest warrant would be issued. Do not answer or call back.

I got a robo call from this number and the laughable computerised voice recording just didn't feel genuine. The ATO would definitely not contact anyone this way,
The computerised voice sounded a bit American.

They called me a student only in yr 7 in class i called back they asked for my name and they were suprised i was a student but i just hang up

I had the same message as the above comment asking me to call the number. Have a feeling it's a scam where you could be charged some massive fee for calling the number. Would avoid calling back.

Called by this number - automated computerised voiceover stating they are the Australian Taxation Office and there is a law suit against you. Hung up. Lodged complaint with actual ATO complaints system.

Its an automated message saying "this is the Tax Office. A law suit is being filed against you if you don't call us immediately on (03) 999-5041 to arrange payment".
The number that came up on my phone was the same number as the message told me to ring. The ATO NEVER calls like this - they always write, they never call unregistered mobile numbers to disability pensioners that don't pay tax. Its a scam. I've advised the ATO.

Sames happened to me. a robot computerised message, will pass to police as this is FRAUD!

Told me I would be arrested if I didn’t call back , I called them back told me they were ATO AND SAID THAT I HADNT DONE MY TAX RETURN . Did not understand a word they were saying. Ask them a lot of ? They were unable to answer BEWARE
