I also made the mistake of going to compare the market and putting my contact number in as part of the form to compare electricity companies, since then I have had 6 calls in 2 days, had I wanted a call back I would have asked, I wont use them now out of principal - just harassment....

Compare the Market. I got a call about 30 seconds after trying to get electricity prices. They don't give out prices or comparisons without collecting your data. I should have known better.

I got 5 missed calls including one during the family evening meal time from this number (03) 9998 9640 and no message was left. Curiosity got the better of me and I dialed the number back thinking it was in Victoria somewhere. It didn’t ring at all, it just went straight to music, which was really weird, so I waited on and after 40 seconds or so a woman answered with a strong Indian accent. I think the waiting time with music was when my call was being diverted to a call centre in India. Anyway she said one of her colleges would have phoned me in relation to sales and marketing for electricity and gas. Obviously they call numbers at random hoping to get someone interested in their scheme, which is really annoying. I said I wasn’t interested and hung up. I suggest blocking this number, as I will now do.

I recieved 2 missed calls from (03) 9998 9640 which I ignored and rang them directly. Spoke to Sarah who was very helpful and saved me about $40 a quarter (low-energy user) from EnergyAustralia to AGL. Tried to change over my partner's business but they couldn't beat the rate (high-energy user) which sucks - didn't know this but supply rates for businesses are about 50c a day higher than residential which is just a rip. Still, I'm happy saving $160 a year for a 10 minute call.

googled and used 'compare the market' on Friday afternoon 2/12 to eek out time at work and now have received 7 calls in 3 business days. today 6/12 I have received calls at 9.45am,12.24pm & now 3.36pm. I expect the next call too be around 6pm. but I wont be here suckers...

Most annoying; "compare the market"; I filled in their web page; viewed the uncompetitive rates and rang energy company direct for a better deal. Now the bastards won't stop calling; I have the number on block so I just get the sms every time they call. Next time I'll use a dummy number...

haven't even used compare the market and they call me over two times a day. have asked them to not call my number again, but still they do it. very annoying.

Spammers. Started getting calls from this number a few days ago despite the fact that I never signed up to them or gave them my number.

Just seen my mobile account and note a charge for 12 secs to this number ??? I never use my mobile to call. I only give the number for marketeers to call me. Mostly my phone is switched off,

they legit called me a minute after i got my quotes r they serious. blocked them for sure didnt even give me time to read the quotes

Phone rings..... I pick up "Hello"... then they hang up.
It's not just this mob it's numerous companies like this.

It's been a fortnight and I've had 2 - 3 calls a day from them. I've blocked them on the phone so it doesn't ring and they can't leave a message, but it shows on the call history.

called within moments of me foolishly providing number through compare the market online. the provide no comparison online and clearly just bait. Sad.

I made the same mistake also. I do not want these spam calls.
