When I answered, only heard music for a second, then silence. I hung up.

It happened twice. When I picked the call they put me on hold.

Red Energy. Calling because I exited. Didn't receive their call, just an instinct that its Red Energy because they sent me an email today regarding me leaving them. Have been with them for just over a month and its terribly expensive.

Red Energy is impossible to contact only if you want to wait 1+ hours in a queue. No staff taking calls too many working from home... it is a disgrace as it is and Australian Company.

Caller: A male person, which I forgot his name

A male person call with the number (03) 9977 6000 displayed in my mobile. He first of all asked "is it [...](my name)?" I realised this number was too simple, I replied that someone will call him back.
I called Red Energy with my Red Energy account number, their staff checked my record - No one recorded that he called me earlier!!
I suspect someone was doing suspicious scam-like activities!!

I left red energy and immediately I am spammed not only by them but also by random Chinese voices and fake PayPal texts. Bunch of c*nts will pass along your number as a final f*ck you

I got the call after I decided to switch to another company about a week ago. This number called me and knew about me leaving Red, and offered me a better deal. Seems legit.

Same here - I lasted 2 months before realising that both their daily rate and usage rate were more expensive than everyone else. I'm not sure what they told my wife to convince her, think it was some QANTAS points, I'm never dealing with them again.

Lumo Energy rang but your other comments say it is Red Energy. They are operating with the same call centre number and when I said that to them they denied that they were RedEnergy

I have blocked this number. They still call me 3 or 4 times a day which are autoblocked by my phone. This is one of several numbers I've had calls from claiming to be calling about electricity or NBN. Either this is a straight up scammer or some company that resells utility services for referral bonuses. Either way, they are operating with zero regard for anti spam laws, do not call lists and so on
