Missed call, no message left.

keeps calling , no answer

My phone number is listed on the Australian Government Do Not Call Register. Where did these people get my details from?

On the do not call register but still they ring.

called 16th jan and again today, "important" survey. told them not interested and hung up

Answered pretty much immediately but they hung up - Sod 'em ... blocked now

time wasters!!! no message left. blocked.

they called and I answered then they hung up straight away, came up as a spam number.

Have lost count of the number of times this mob have called this week. I won't answer.

Have called meat least 10 times this year. I don't pickup on unsolicited calls

on my cell phone I hold my finger down on the number and a little list of options pop up and block number is on there.. hope that helps.

Ring and just hangs up

Abusive msg left on voice mail so I searched this website and found many similar comments about it being a waste of time.

Call about 4 time, called after business houras well! They said they want to do the research and asked for my address so I said no! She got very abusive and hangup!
Police need to do something about this, I get like 10-15 phone call per week.

Asked to speak to me (by name) I told them I don`t know him, and a hung up

Bloody telemarketing idiots !!

I rang them back. The messages states marketing and research..but "if you leave your name and number they will endeavour to remove you from the database within 24 hours.

It is a waste of time registering with " Do Not Call Register." this is a copy of their standard reply ...typical government department ..no teeth and a waste of time

A telemarketer or fax marketer may be in breach of the DNCR Act if they make/send a commercial call/fax without consent to a number that has been on the register for more than 30 days. Note that the DNCR Act does not cover research calls/faxes, registered charities, political parties and independent members, government bodies and educational institutions.

Industry standards

These standards establish requirements that apply to all commercial telemarketing or fax marketing communication, including calls/faxes that are made/sent by researchers, registered charities, political parties and independent members, government bodies and educational institutions. Unlike the DNCR Act, the industry standards apply regardless of whether the number called/faxed is on the Do Not Call Register. Please be aware that registering on the Do Not Call Register does not block calls and will not stop all calls or faxes to your number. See www.donotcall.gov.au/consumers/consumer-overview/receiving-calls-after-registering/ for details of calls that you may still receive after registering.

Information requested in a complaint

If you choose to make a complaint about a call you have received, you will be asked to provide information including:

the date and time of the call/fax (mandatory)

the phone number the call/fax was received on (mandatory)

the name and details of the caller (or the party calling on their behalf) and their product

what the caller wanted to talk to you about (such as a product, service or a donation)

any phone number or word that was displayed on your phone

details of the content of the call.

The more information you are able to provide in your complaint, the more we can do to encourage compliance by the caller.
