Caller: Scammer

Scammer calls with Melbourne based VOIP numbers, seems to have access to the 03991248xx range of numbers. The caller never speaks, they are either waiting for you to say "yes" to record your voice as part of a bigger fraud, or they will sell your number at a higher price as "verified".

Called me about a debt settled years ago had all the information regarding that debt asked me to repay it

I received a call on my mobile from this number (03) 9912 4872 twice yesterday and another from (03) 9912 4870 today. I did not pick up and they left no message....Bloody scammers!!

Caller: Derek someone (I think)

Obvious computer call, had to say hello a couple of times before their end clicked in. Knew me by name and asked if ‘I wanted to get wasted and go the footy with him’. I asked how he got my name and number, he asked me the same question again, I asked a second time how he got my name and number, he then hung up.

This number has been calling me regularly only changing the last digit. Beware

I called back number (03) 9912 4872 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
