Caller: About a retirement plan?

Women wanted to know personal information and hung up when I wouldn't give the info. I rang the number and it's a "your call could not be connected" . The scammers must have so many Aussie numbers they use.

Tried calling number back says it is not connected!!

I put the phone down beside the television so the caller knew about Melbourne weather for the next few days.

If they keep calling you, report the number to your telco, they will investigate, together we can stop these a**holes from doing this kind of stuff. If you don't do anything they sit there and laugh at us. If you report it they may just lose their job!! It's called a "nuisance caller" Tell them you work shift work & they are waking you up, don't change your number!! Don't block all your notifications, make the telco do there job!!

The caller always hangs up when I answer "Hello". Never answer these calls with your name, i.e Hello, this is Mary. I've had these calls many times. I've been told by others it is a scam call.

Another missed call today at 2:20pm, no message left. Tried to call back but says number is not connected.

Caller: Some retiree business

They ask if you know about some tax break if you are under 59 and own your own home. I didn't tell them the answers to this queztion and said I was interested, then blocked the number.

Caller: Wanted to discuss national retirement solutions eligibility

"Are you under 59? No, you cant call me back, we're too busy". Said they would call again and havent.

Apparently its a scam and somehow when you call back they attempt to get banking details
