Received call 13th May 2015 from (03) 9590 9510. The heavily accented man said he was from Green Energy. I asked him for the address and he said Melbourne, I asked him for a more specific address. He just finished asking if I was on the No Call Register when he hung up.

They just rang me and sat on the line for a minute, I could hear background noise, they then just hung up, I run a small business and do not like missing calls so I rang them back and got the message that the number was disconnected.
I have added them to my blocked list that now has about 300 entries from the last year alone.

It is not an Australian number. Telstra has allocated what appears to be Australian numbers to call centres in India.

Just received a call from this mob... 10:05a.m. 14 August 2015.
Same or similar as other posts but the "heavily accented" male speaking started saying that "your bullsh*tting" and being an "idiot". If it was really a member of the Australian Credit Union Association I think he would have been fired on the spot. He is going on about being charged for transactions $2.50 each and not knowing. I know my bank / union balances to a T. I hope you all out there are not taken in by this mob's "BS".

Same experience as all of the above. I get called 3 or 4 times a weeks for months. Often they tell me f*ck of and abuse me, I usually just hang up. Have been told something about solar and banking. Sick of these d*ckheads

Same as above, a call from an accented voice asking whether I was happy with my bank and which one. I gave him a name, not my real one. I looked up the number and found this thread. Now I guess I will get the followup call in 10 days.

So I got a call from this number about 2 weeks ago. Some guy asking if I would be interested in solar panels - nothing to pay they will come and give us a quote or something.
Was not really interested but they said they will send a consultant down in my area in a few days so I figured yeah why not. What really annoyed me though was they had my number but they did not have the correct address. At that point I wanted to cancel.
They called me again 2 days later and by then I had changed my mind - I told them I wasn't interested and to cancel whatever guy/girl was going to come down to sell me solar panels and I don't want to talk to them again.
3 days or so passed after that and instead of a guy calling a girl calls me and said they had already paid the consultant so why was I backing out of this. At this point I became somewhat angry and told them I already said NO to leave me alone and if I wanted solar panels I would seek it out myself and I hung up on them.
So about a week later (which is now) I just received a call from probably the same girl and she spewed out the same script about paying the consultant (I do not believe her at all) and that I should go ahead with the assessment when CLEARLY i have said I don't want any part of this scam and to leave me alone. She hung up on me mid way through.
Ignore this number and just hang up on them - not worth the trouble.

Received a call from this number but they hung up; i called back and received the message that this number was not connected. Called Optus to find out how that is possible. Optus called the number to see what was going on. After some too&from Joseph took down the details as well as the last 4 unlited number called that also hung up the moment i picked up. He said he would escalate this to the Investigation Branch of Optus and see if it warrents reporting the user/owner of the number to Law Enforcement. He said to contact them if this number called again.

Yep, called a few times, always right at my kids' bedtime, pretended to be from a government agency offering tax deductions but couldn't give me any details. Tried calling back when missed the call this time and it says disconnected. Added to blocked list.

they called my mobile and asked to speak of the owner of the house. I said I was speaking and he hung up on me. I'm 100% that this is a scam.

yes, same thing...called back and it says he's diconnected, but he's not, because he's still calling; he obviously has some mechanism to block incoming calls

India, trying to sell solar panels for businesses. Told them I closed my business, so he asked about my house. Told him it was built last year and already has panels. "Ok thank you bye bye then."

I get about 8 - 12 calls a week from these morons. They are driving me mad. Sometimes the (03) 9590 9510 number shows up, but because they sometimes also use "private" line I can't always use a loud whistle or scream at them when they ring. Grandma has a private line too and I don't want to harm her ears. Oh - I am SO annoyed with these horrible people. Is there nothing to be done?

I get these all the time too , BUT , if you keep a rape whistle beside the phone eventually they stop calling.
Do you have a comment about (03) 9590 9510?
