Just received a call from this number.

The female that spoke to me stated that she was from the Australian Tax Office and that she wanted to know what we do with our fuel tax credits.

I informed her that we use an accountant, she then asked to speak to them and I said it is farmed out.

She then hung up.

I keep getting calls from this number and they are hanging up when i answer, thanks for everyone's comments otherwise i would be calling them back and it would have cost me.

I get called 2-3 times a week by this number

Received this call on Sat morning, the guy said he is from Australia Government, but wont tell me what department, very suspicious

I had call for this number, they said for the Suver of the Gov, I give the info as I can. but after I call that number back,find something not as right.
I wish police can track them down. and I want to know how they've got my number though also.

Got a missed call from this number at 5:30pm today. I don't think you can report infringements to the TIO but rather these need to be reported to the ACMA. If you go to the Australian Communications & Media Authority, you should be able to lodge a complaint against them.

Said they were doing survey for australian crime commission re financial fraud. Wanted to know if there was male more than 50 years go age in the house. There wasn't so call ended with a thank you.

Same thing just rings then when you answer it drops off, I to am on the don't call register, So I am going to report them as well, 4 times today

I got a call just now, and was suspicious enough to Google the number. The Telecommunications Ombudsman is where the complaints of this nature should go. Refer to this website as proof of the illegal activities. Just complaining on a public website is not enough to get action, but it is a good place to collect the evidence.

I had a missed call from them on Friday, they called back two hours later and I answered and spoke to someone. I was signed up at SensoMetrics (market research company) and in the past have participated in paid market research with that company, but according to their website, "The SensoMetrics Pty Ltd is no longer operating in the Sensory research field." - http://www.sensometrics.com.au/. The lady who I spoke to said that that company no longer did the market research and that their company had taken it over (bought the contacts listing perhaps? I didn't ask). The call was from the new company wanting to A). confirm I would like to continue to do market research and B). to ask me to participate in a particular job, although this one was food related, and in the past I've done food-related ones (eg. tasting potato chips, which I think I got $20 for but that was yeaaars ago, and my mum has done one more recently where she was sent soup stock to use for a week or two or something).

As far as I could tell it was a genuine call and they had my contact details from a genuine source that I had signed up to.

Received an unsolicited phone call from this number at 08:30pm yesterday.

Called me at 8:00pm then hung up.
Called them back accidentally, strange noise coming from the phone.
I also get calls from YourSource but from a verified sydney number.
Whoever this number belongs to - is not them.

Found this morning 24/9/12 that I got 4 calls from this number on Sat/Sunday. Being a work phone number nobody was here to answer it on the weekend but it didn't stop them calling more than once. I wonder if I will get any more during the week?

I've just received a call from this number at 8.11pm, not impressed.

Got a call from this number 7/9/12 20:45 AEST. When I answered, there was no-one on the other end. Got another call from these jokers 8/9/12 13:30 AEST. Not sure if prank call or telemarketer. Either way, next time they call I'll tell them to go away.

They called me twice / August 4 in early evening and today August 5. Leave me alone

Several calls from this number, usually following calls from overseas number. Sounds like Indian - won't stop calling. Ignore them .

Why do they get away with it? Surely if there's enough complaints from ppl the police can track them down? I'm in WA and was wondering why I was being called from Sydney when I know no one there.. I've marked it on my phone as spam so they are wasting their time with me. I want to know how they've got my number though!!
