Victoria Police are aware of this matter, but are unable to do anything about it. The owner of this phone number has had his phone number hijacked by a stalker, who has been deported to Nepal. These text messages are orignating from Nepal, and the owner cannot have the number cancelled. Don't feel worried about these messages.

Hi there I just received this text today and thought sh*t,I rang the number and it went to message bank and the voice sounded middle eastern but then I jumped online to see if this was an ongoing thing and it is, a little bit of relief cos I didn't have anyone in my life that I have piss off that bad that they want to behead me ,so I don't think I'll report it to the police if it's a hoax text

Got one of these abusive and threatening texts today. There are some sick people out there. Got worried when I got it then read these comments and felt a lot better.

Got this too, rang number and was advised what the deal is. Police can't do anything is bs I don't think you can send death threats to people ? This could mess some people up pretty bad and is unacceptable. Imagine a 12 yo getting this !

Same message here. Seems that the local police are powerless to do something about it, but Telstra shouldn't be.

Since the message is delivered via Telstra they should be able to find out the sending IP, and either contact that provider, or block all messages from them.

As such, I've just contacted Telstra and reported this to them. The lady I first talked to said that this needs to be dealt with. (She was shocked and really concerned about the content) and escalated the issue immediately and they're launching an investigation.

They are also going to check who else has reported this, so if you haven't reported this yet to Telstra (or your phone provider), please do. The more reports they get about it, the more chance that it will continue to be pursued until they either block the offending IP or SMS gateway provider, or if the police in the originating country investigate, the more reports, the more charges they can lay.

I got this text this afternoon also. I actually rang the number and the man on the other end advised me it was a hoax from an international PC. I told him to change his number and also ring police. I have also reported to police.

Just received a text from this number this afternoon, totally charming message, needless to say it has been reported to the police.

I got a very similar message from the same number, suggesting that my body will be dumped in the Yarra. I'll agree that I'm an ugly bastard but I aint' no bitch.

a text came in under this number. It was highly disturbing and stated the person's name as well as where the body will be disposed off after being murdered. These texts are a serious criminal offence and there is legal liability from all persons, corporations, and enforcement agencies that are not carrying out any action.

I got same txt this morning, and went to house to confront them. It is NOT these people; some loser is using their number a a proxy from overseas. These are decent people, a family, police are aware but powerless.
