Caller: Concept Referral Group

Called me by a name I have been hearing for the last 6 years or so, presumably from a dodgy or corrupt database. (May have been "seeded" by someone that did not like me).

Anyhow, they hung up as soon as I denied being that person. So there is that going for them.

This one is funny. Although this was definitely a sub-continental voice (desi), the third digit is not an 8, so not a normal IP phone scam. But they are marketing.

They test to see if the phone number is active to verifying if they will try your number again and sell it as "active" to other parties...that's why they hang up straight away initally.. if you answer and they reply, is because your number has been verified for further attack, so expect increased calls.. I let it ring out and Don't hang up on them but hit silent so it won't annoy me, then block after I check here. This reduced my attack to once or twice a fortnight now from a call every two days... Don't let them know your "active" if they want to talk to me, they can use voice mail, otherwise I don't give a flying fk who they are..

I answered in Afrikaans and they could not understand me so they put the phone down ……….. these desi boys and girls

They ring about 5 time a day. When I call back it says the phone has been disconnected.

called my mobile but I don't pick up the numbers that not saved on my phone, but I'll google the number.

Told them that I was at work and didn't have time to talk. They raised their voice at me and hung up.
Tried to call back harass them but the number is disconnected. Blocked. Rude!

These desi scamers call me 5 times a day late in the evening and 8am block it

Called and hung up as soon as I spoke. From the comments i'm assuming it's a telco checking my number to see if it is in use...

Full on SCAM !!!

Never take calls with complaints on it.

Hung up after 8 seconds.

i called back number (03) 9340 8172 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

These people call me multiple times a month from slightly different numbers each time, always saying the call is about my energy bill/energy provider. Each time I ask them to stop calling me, they have hung up on me. Today's phone number was (03) 8001 8398.

Spam caller, allegedly selling electricity, to a number on the do not call register, so definitely not legitimate. Just tell them that your electricity bill is paid by someone else, landlord etc, they will take you off the database, as they did me today.

Receiving calls everyday, I usually answer the call but don't speak, then I get to the point where I lose it and scream!
