Blocked the number after the first ring as Caller ID showed it to be an 03 number. I do not know anyone from that area and get only numerous scam calls from there. This site confirmed I was right to block it as a scammer (Mumbai again ….)

Scammer hung up when I said I wouldn’t turn on computer. Also got very cranky when I said I couldn’t understand a word he was saying.

Caller: (03) 9318 6093 Scammer by the name of Steve Williams with a supervisor name of Jack Den then he said Dene. IT Department of Telstra on (03) 9318 6093 knew it was scam straight up as we not with Telstra. Our internet connection was having issues apparently and he wanted us to scan our computer and send him information. When hubby said to him ‘did you mean scam not scan’ he said hubby was wasting his time and hung up. We just had a laugh about this scumbag scammer.
