Caller: Telstra....computer virus??? Just had someone tell me computer had been infected, so I told him to f*@k off because I'm not stupid and I knew what he was up to. He then preceded to tell me "shame on me" for using such foul language, so I said "shame on you for trying to scam innocent people" and then I kept telling him to f*@k off....highlight of my day, thanks

Just had a call from this scammer too saying he was from Telstra. Same thing saying there was a large amount of data being consumed on my home internet. I asked for the incident number and he hung up.

Caller: Telstra Technical Department Indian caller tried to tell me that my internet was being used by a number of people and he would help me disconnect them. On querying where he was calling from he said he was from Melbourne. I told him he was a scammer and I wasn't interested in his help and he hung up after calling me stubborn and dumb.

Just received the call and it goes "I'm sorry, that is not a valid extension" and thanks to this forum, realised it was spam once I immediately Google searched the number. Thanks for the headsup.

Caller: Peter Bell Employee ID: D658134 Name: Peter Bell who said he worked for Telstra for 2 Years Employee ID: D658134 Calling from: Telstra HQ - Melbourne CBD - 242 Exhibition St. - Foursquare Problem: Reported to me that there is unusual activity coming from my modem which could indicate scamming.
Peter wanted me to turn on my computer. Then he asked me what key was next to my control key. I said "the Windows key" and he wanted me to press the Windows+R key to run a command. I didn't do this.
He hung up when I asked him for the technical specifics.

They rang me about 10 minutes ago.. I have no power in my area at the moment due to storms.. I answered as I thought it would be friends even though I didn’t recognise the number. Heard Indian accent and just listened as he said hello can you hear me .. hello hello then he hung up.. hasn’t called back yet
