I just contacted National Hearing Care and they confirmed that it is their number :
"Yes, that is our organisation. We would have called as you are due in for you next appointment."
So, the only reason they keep calling people all the time is to arrange an appointment.
I have advised them that people are getting it wrong and convincing themselves it is a scam because no message is left.
They thanked me for the feedback.
Basically, when we had old phones that didn't tell us who was calling, people would have answered their phone and had their free appointment arranged - without the paranoia that seems to have arisen now simply because folks wouldn't answer a plain old phone call.

Non stop calling now for 2 weeks and who is sharing Australians private information to these scammers?

This is National Hearing Care - Do not call this number back - Call their 1800 number and request to be taken off the list. They said they are running a campaign at the moment. I explained to them that when I call back someone is on the other end but they don't say anything and hang up. This is not professional National Hearing Care, get your act together and stop harassing people. First time, said it was for a hearing test. I missed the call next time and called back and a voice said "this number is not connected" We have a brand new NBN Private Number and have given the number to NO One. National Hearing Centre are obviously using robocalls.They are not ringing current customer but cold calling for business.
If/when I need a hearing test I will not be using this business. Their push is that hearing tests are free (actually paid by the Govt.) and they are touting for work.
When I have my home phone diverted to my mobile and these scam numbers ring, provided they leave a hang up message, I am able to go and block the number then delete it. I have managed to block quite a number of these calls recently. The software on my mobile when these unwanted calls ring lists them as potential fraud so it makes the task easy to get rid of them. Most of them are telemarketers trying to flog a service or extract information from you for fraudulent activities. The callers never speak to you immediately if you answer them so this is an indicator of a scam call, also the accent of the person on the other end of the line. They rang the company I worked for today and hung up without announcing themselves.
If they weren't "cold calling" they might have stuck around to speak with me but obviously realised their error and hung up.

This is supposedly National Hearing Care in Victoria ringing re my next appointment. I have never lived in Victoria, and have no trouble with my hearing. - the caller hangs up as soon as I answer. I will be blocking this number.
I have these calls everyday only when I signed up with Optus the spam calls don't stop
