These people just don't give up. Every day they call my cell phone and I already have the number blocked - so it still comes up on my caller list but with the blocked symbol. It then goes to messagebank and they don't even leave a message - all you can hear is some sound and they hang up. PLEASE STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just block any suspicious number. Don't give them the satisfaction of answering.

Caller: National Hearing Centre

One of the posts further down this page states this number is the National Hearing Centre, offering and attempting to sell expensive hearing aids. Not deaf and not interested!!!

What about people that just want a bit of piece and quiet when they have finished their jobs. They could be working in the same industry as you and just want to be left alone. That is the majority of the public. If we wanted the items you are selling or whatever, we would phone you. So if you don't like the hassles that come with the job, don't do it.

Just had a phone call from these people. The phone did not even ring as I have the number blocked on my cell. They then have the nerve to attempt to leave a voice message but when you play it back there is no one there. Can't these people get the hint and stop calling

I think its time to enact a class action againt the Telcos for allowing these mongrels to use this mode to pester people with unsolicited calls. The technology is there for blocking and screening annoying callers and I KNOW they are making money by allowing these mongrels to use the system to defile their privacy. Its no use using the DNC register... Its giving these mongrels a listing of numbers to call for free. The law in Australia for DNC does not apply to overseas call centres.. Its time for action to stop this once and for all !
WAKE UP... tell these telcos to pull up their socks and offer the technology that is already available to allow those to control who makes unsolicited calls.

Not being racist, But an asian women voice calls every day at 4:15pm. from 6 to 8 different generated numbers from NSW, VIC and now Hobart. She ask's for my flatmate by name and the phone number is not in his name. It is also a non listed and silent number with Telstra. They asked that i was booked in to see a hearing specialist in my local town when i do not have a hearing problem at all. I said if i had a hearing problem, then how come i am talking to you. So how do these people get Telstra's data base in the first place. I worked in largeo/s banks in IT hardware and software stopping hackers, now retired. Telstra with their huge network, tells me they cannot stop these phantom calls at all. So how did tehse hackers get Telstra data base in the first time. I JUST HUNG UP. NO PERSONAL DETAILS WERE GIVEN AND I AM OVER THIS CRAP BIG TIME.
