All total pains; claim got info. from Telstra and will offer $35 plan

Called to say my elderly father's phone had been put on a discount plan (I pay his bills) and tried to give me instructions on how to pay. Couldn't tell me my father's correct address, or his name. Seems like a scam targeting the elderly.

Dodgey dudes - David rang up and claimed he was from NBN - asked what company are you from and he refused to say. He then rang another indial (happened to be next to me) and hung up in my face.

Seems its been going on for quite a few years. This time quick to respond when answered phone. They asked for my partner by his first name, I asked what it was in regards to & they said telephone, asked for him again & I said whats up with our telephone & was half way through saying Im authorised & they hung up!

They called many times and just said I want to speak to your boss. And I pretend i am not and he isnt available. he just hang it out without said anything. super rude. That rude guys name is Tony.

A guy who has very strong Indian accent called our shop many times asking shop's ABN and bank account number! I asked whom am I speaking to  and  he said "(Something) Business Association" as their business name (couldn't get it properly since his accent was so strong and he spoke so quickly) then he said he is an agent of "ABN Department" which actually doesn't exist in Australia. So I asked "are you government body or private?" he said "private". What a joke. After that he started keep talking without listening to me being unbelievably rude. Well I finally managed to say "thank you. but I don't think I will answer your questions" then hang up. What a scammer.

Asked to speak to business owner. Hung up when I said he wasn't in.

Rang and said in an Indian accent he was giving me a faster internet service at a cheaper rate because there had been problems in my area I told him my speed was fine and he went on with b/s...I asked him how much was I paying and he had a guess which was not right and when he asked me for details I hung up /scammers

Had so many of these calls recently. The last one I had was from a woman who asked for the businesa owner. I told her bluntly that the owner wasn't there and what was the call regarding? She said it was 'to do with the business', and asked to speak with the manager. I (the manager) asked again what the call was regarding. She got rude at this point and said "I just told you, it's to do with the business!" I hung up at this point.

Rang me today and told me my landline would be $25 cheaper next week.
I told them that was funny because I don't even have a landline. LOL

Scammers, constantly calling with bogus deals

The man from the Indian subcontinent claimed to be from Teleus. He claimed to offering me a cheaper phone package which was actually more expensive. He tried to extract information from me. When I tried to ring back the phone number was repeatedly not accessible. You have been warned!

Had this number call, and ask for my manager or business owner. Put them on hold for 10 minutes while I "went to find him". The caller finally gave up after about 15 minutes, with me taking them off hold and telling them that "he was on another call", or "was with a sales rep." Easily the most fun I had that day.

Told the operator we weren't interested in discussing their offer and we were happy with what we have. He wouldn't have any of it and insisted on talking because he wasn't the same as the hundreds of calls we had had before. I told him if he wanted to waste his time I had all the time in the world to listen to him, but don't expect me to sign up to anything and that I would only listen to him to kill time. He immediately said ok then hung up LOL

So rude telemarketer. Calling to speak to the business owner and hang up immediately when I told him I am not.

Clearly a scammer. Calls every other week, asking for "owner of the business" Now I just hang up. So over these calls, Telstra cant do anything about them apparently :(

Do not answer- phone company trying to tell you that they can provide you with a "cheaper phone plan"- whether it's legitimate or not is the question.....
