Caller: Scammer claiming to be PayPal

Recieved an email, claiming to be paypal (email looked real). Email said "Jessica Duarte" has sent a money request for $500 USD, if i thought request was fraudulent to call (03) 9118 3713. Called the number, difficult to understand person on the other end. googled number, but didn't really get any decent results. went to paypal website, found contact number, called and spoke to Paypal. They confirmed (03) 9118 3713 was not their number and are investigating further.

pretending to be paypal giving a refund. i called them back 12 times but they just wont let me prank them back. LOL

Same as the others. Received email of a suspicious $500 transaction which got cancelled and asked to call the Fraud Investigation Team via this number. Be careful everyone, logo and email content looked convincing overall. Unlucky for them I don't really know any Carrie so I flagged it as scam/phishing right away.

Paypal scam. They request $500 and advise you to call this number if it's an error. But they aren't paypal. If you don't pay them (ignore) they will eventually cancel the request. They cannot take your money unless you call this number and they get more information from you. Report to paypal.

Received scam email from a camouflaged email address coming up as Joan <melissajenniferrichardsev6543 @ gmail.com> relative to a scam McAfee invoice and with this number as the reply. It is long past the time for Google Mail to get on top of all these scammers using gmail at all.

Paypal scammer requesting $500 USD for a Bitcoin purchase... definitely a scam

I received the same $500 request from ANA CASTRO and called (03) 9118 3713 . The scum started to get into my computer through the website gosys.us. Fortunately I put the phone number in google and found the reports on here. Thanks so much to REVERSE AUSTRALIA 👍

Got an email purporting to be PayPal wanting $500 usd requested by Victoria alicea. Gave the above number to contact PayPal fraud if I suspected it was fraudulent activity. Do not call it. Idiots sent me the email and I don’t even have a PayPal account.

Got same email about pay pal Joshua Adams wanting to click link for PayPal invoice didn't call number searched it first as should everyone who has unknown numbers calling

Got a text from 'John Staats' with a money transfer request for $500 USD. Also received an email that looked like it was genuinely from PayPal and to call the fraud investigation team on (03) 9118 3713 to cancel. Didn't try ringing. Definitely a scam.

Received sms today with payment request from "Terrell Shields" for $500 USD and notification from Paypal, when go into Paypal, says "unauthorised activity report at (03) 9118 3713". When I called Paypal (not that number) advised it is a scam and if you call this number they provided, they try and get your bank details. Declined the request and Paypal investigating.

Received sms from Paypal said that Ryan Ramos (03) 9118 3713 sent money request for USD500. Then also received email from Paypal about the money request. Went into paypal website, there was a Bill from Ryan Ramos for USD$500, on the note it mentioned that Unauthorized activity report at (03) 9118 3713 . I just simply clicked cancell money request.

Can confirm anon's post. Additionally, they have spoofed the email address service @ paypal.com so it looks very legit. Do not click, and do not call.
