Should Be The Communications Regulator That Should Be Chasing False Phone Numbers

Phone calls but no message left on answering machine. Dumb SPAM callers, don't they know when to give up?

Scammers.
called our phone and then hit us with three anonymous calls within 60 seconds. Our phone does not accept anonymous calls but they show up in the call log.

Going by the comments this number's only just recently become lively. Didn't recognise it...didn't answer it...they didn't leave a message..not important.

Caller: Electricity company

Called at 7:45pm wanting to speak about electricity prices he could offer. I advised him he should look at the clock next time as any family would be putting kids to bed right now and he had just woken my baby.

Just had a call from this number which I let go to my answering service and all there was was a whole lot of static and music before they hung up. I am totally sick of all these calls, other numbers besides this, at least 6 a day. It’s like my phone is not not my own and theirs is “Unknown”. I would sue them all if I could.

Scam caller. They phone on my second unlisted anywhere line. Line 2 at work.
Answered, and then they straight away hang up. Do not answer!

A man with an Indian accent yelled something I couldn't understand (it wasn't English) and then hung up. I could hear him talking with the phone held at arm's length, he was speaking so loud. Got the impression it was some sort of scam. Certainly a nuisance caller.

I let the answering machine take the call. They didn't leave a message. Now on the blocked list.

They did not leave message. I called back but number is not connected. Probably an Asian scammer.

We are on the 'Do Not Call' Register, but must keep this damn nuisance telephone mostly 'non-service' for the rare monthly call from family overseas - our elderly are now 'too fragile' to update numbers we have for many years, but even if we did, it wont stop nuisance callers.

Even 'survey' companies abuse their 'privilege' being a nuisance.

Scammer. The Asian sounding female asked me by name which was listed on the telephone directory. Told me she was from some sort of wealth management ... I hanged up and re-dialed the called No... Telco recorded message advised the phone No. is NOT in service.

I Did not answer as it is not a number I recognise; shortly after a text saying I had missed a call. SPAM!!!

Caller: India caller trying to sell solar power

Stated they were from Green Solar Brisbane. Called from this Melbourne number. i suspect they are just trying to gather personal details.

Answered this one. A silent pause before anyone spoke... and then you could here the sounds of a call centre (probably overseas). Asian agent. Said they were from Energy Solutions or something ringing about my electricity bills with one of their providers. Nonsense (I know this to be untrue) - told her she was a liar and she kept talking. I hung up. Block caller.
