I generally ask them are they Hindu. If they reply yes, I remind them that all Hindu thieves are reincarnated as a dog They never call back after that ..... this statement has worked on many different scam calls.

Foreign voice mentioned electricity-guess selling solar

Caller: Indian telemarketer

Claims to be from energy company in Australia re: solar panels, but is actually from a dodgy call centre in India, using VoIP tricks to make the call centre "appear" to be calling from inside Australia. (hence why if you do call, the number says "not connected)

I too am on Do Not Call registry and recently when I went to put in a complaint about a telemarketer calling, found out it's only if they call after 8pm you can put in a compliant. What good is that?

When I get a call from this number, as soon as I pick up the phone, they hang up. Probably because when they called before about my Electricity, I told them we don't have an electricity account. They could not seem to comprehend this.

Purporting to sell energy plans. Advised my number was listed as DO NOT CALL. Refused to accept this statement.

over the last 3 months they call and hung up 3 times june, july, august. no idea what they want. i now have my ph on silent because of these calls its getting ridiculous!

I did the same thing. I was home when the guy came over to give the quote and the idiot *didn't* see that I had panels before knocking on my door. So I walked him back to the street and then pointed up at them. He drove away crestfallen. Then I reported his company to the ACCC for breaching the Do Not Call laws!

This number call on a regular basis and there in nobody from the call - when you try to return the call a robot voice say the number is not in service

Called and started the pitch said not interested. She says she’s not selling, I said I’ve asked not to call me and I’m on do not call, she gets huffy and says not selling and I use a provider, say again I’m not interested and she hung up.

I’m pretty convinced it’s a scam given the number of reports

SCAMMER why they cant do their research properly I will never know - they called me at work!
