Why cant iT website designers stop insisting a phone number is required for contacting the business online via thier websites? If they leave an option for giving a phone number or not, maybe then the companies wouldnt be wasting money by calling, often annoying, those who dont want to speak on the phone to them. Not even as much as a consideration some people dont work during the day and need to sleep, not have unsolicited phone calls during our sleep time. Telstra and the communications ombudsman need to stop the *required phone numbers on website forms when contacting a business. If people wanted to speak to the companies, they'd call them. Not email them? Logic needs to over come stupidity MYOB.
