Rang exactly a month after the first call, and they were saying things like "Remember last time we spoke you said this, and that you wanted more customers, and you also said you wanted to get better google rankings, That is why i'm calling you today, to follow up with you on that and make some progress....etc" They use the familiarity of the first call to keep you on the line for a 2nd call, and start planting seeds of doubt about your website and advertising strategy. The best way of dealing with these bastards is to NOT answer ANY questions whatsoever, don't even confirm your name with them, they can pluck this info from your domain registry and pretend they know you. Just don't speak to them at all, don't even use the word "YES" because they can manipulate audio and create recorded phone calls of you agreeing to things you've never even spoken or heard about.

As per other comments, caller claims to be from "smeegle Web" designers. Wanted to speak with business owner and became pushy when I advised he was overseas. Demanded to know a time for them to call back to speak with him. The woman on the phone had a very thick accident and sounded very shy/not confident, I don't think she should be in sales.

Call centre asked for boss and then told me to hold the line whilst their "boss" picked up. Dont bother answering this call centre, they are only wanting to take control over your website development....in India

Called once last week, talked about assisting us with our website google ratings. Told them we weren't interested and hung up. Now, they keep calling and hanging up every time I answer, probably hoping to get the owner by accident as I am the office manager and have refused to put the call through.

I had the same experience as otheres on here, even the the same wording, Remember last time we spoke ... $399 / month, your website has errors, she then ask me to view a report showing all the errors on my webpage. Then told me she was going to remove some broken back links from my web page for free. I told her I would not pay her a cent & do not to ring again, the next day i rang an australian seo company they checked my website & found no errors, but said some back links had been removed. I was in number 1 position of page 1 of google, now i am position 9 just a few days later. be warned.

Yes, agree with other comments. Harass with comments about how many errors your website has and for just $399 per month they'll fix everything! Hahahaha. Give them the flick

I was bored, had some sport with this cold call. Anesh from SMEgoweb. I did struggle to understand her but played it up "Sorry, can you repeat that please?", "Sorry, can you spell that for me please?" After 4 minutes SHE hung up on ME!

SMEgoWeb tell me my website has HTML errors and Google have changed 22 SEO parameters and my website will drop in rank due to these changes. I spent an hour questioning both Amit & Ankush who are are the 2 Curries running this scam. and the best I could get out of them was that they could tweak my Meta tags by adding Keywords at the price of $25 per keyword, minimum spend of $300. These guys are very well-spoken and I am sire that people who are not so tech-savvy might just hand the money over to these guys. I learned HTML and Meta-Tag sorcery at night-school for the grand total cost of $80 so I suggest if you want to learn this black art, look up your local night school and do a 10 week course, 1 hr a week for $8 bucks a lesson.

A lady called Ansul (with this accent) phoned me in Brisbane today from (03) 9034 5852. Was able to close the call quickly. She wanted to share some 'reports' with me. Thanks for this site. Have now blocked this caller.
