They buy a local number in Australia from an international company to look local and circumvent the do not call register.

Rang. I answered, no reply.
why do Australians pay for a do not call register, out of OUR TAXES, and have to put up with this crap.
I don't blame the call centres, it's our LAZY FAT GOVERNMENT officials who are too useless to stop these scum bags annoying hard working Australians.

This number has been ringing and hanging up when I answer. I’m not using my name anymore when I answer the phone. Common courtesy has gone down the gurgler now we are subjected to this rot. SPAM AND PERSISTENT ANNOYANCE

Several calls from this number today. Blocked the number and notice that they are still calling but phone does not ring but ID area lights up. Do Not Call Register obviously doesn't worry these morons.

Pretend to be a company called "energy saver". Just put the phone to one side and waste their time.

Called offering energy discounts and kept talking over me when I started asking questions about where she was from. When I asked for details about company she worked for she swore at me and hung up.

time wasters

Claimed to be an energy lot on the phone to my Mum, who told them they weren't interested. While she was on the phone with them, my internet started acting funny and kept sending me to a window, I was at university at the time, any link at uni I clicked was redirected to this link about my internet and if I wanted to make changes I had to log out and fix it. I turned my computer off and am now running a scan. If that came from those scumbags, I hope they get caught.

I let it go to answering machine. they always call about this time 1700~1800 each day, some times I let them listen to the win news till they hang up ,never say anything'
