Claimed to be an Australian company "Energy Select" and would be able to save energy costs etc. While I had him (Obviously Indian) on the phone. I Googled the Company name and (03) 9021 2471 and was directed here. That only took 12 seconds and I was able to Tell the idiot to F**K-OFF and never call again. That number is now blocked forever, but what's the point of being on the 'Do Not Call Register' if these Scammers can still make contact?.... Please remember. These Scammers are after information that can be used against you. Every question they ask is there for a reason and details about you and your lifestyle can be accumulated and Sold to other Scammers. Even though this number had a Melbourne address, you can be assured any calls are originating from Overseas through a link to a Melbourne Number. They won't stop and will probably use a different number in the future. So be prepared and if you're even slightly suspicious. Delay the call by any means possible and "Google" the business name they've given you and the number they've called on, and you'll benefit from other peoples feedback. And. Just remember the Ultimate "Rainbows End" prize for these Criminals. Are your Bank and Credit Card details. So do your homework and don't fall prey to the Scum! Feedback welcome. Kind regards. Totally over scammers
Posted on March 28, 2018 Caller type: Unknown Location: Australia
Totally over these callers. They call daily. I’ve blocked all international calls so even my relatives can’t call because scammers were too much. But they still get through. No I don’t effing want solar, or windows help, or have viruses, or an ATO Bill, or a transaction with your bank, I have no reason to talk to you at all. When you start to abuse them note the obligatory oh really they come out with. It’s text book bog standard. So over my time being wasted. Do not call register is a farce. I don’t want to be contacted by charities, government or market researchers. Why make any exceptions. They are all scum in my opinion.

Caller: Indian scammer Indian call centre. Can cloak their number as Australian. Calls daily around the same time, sometimes, they keep trying to speak over you. Had one lady call from this number pretending to be Telstra technical department, told her I didn't believe her and she was a scam and I hung up. She called back 5 mins later, begging with me to believe her, then kept trying to speak over me. What's more is they assume if they keep bothering you you will give in.

Called my landline on the 18th of May 2018.
They were too lazy to leave a message, and after reading the other complaints on this page I blocked their number.

Caller: (03) 9021 2471 Thanks for your thoughtful comments on this number. The fact is that government regulators are inept and toothless. They have it within their power to stop these calls but couldn't care less. The Do Not Call register is useless here. We, as consumers are meant to suffer it because the big telcos profit from our misery and they are the ones who should be taking decisive action to stop the criminal element from destroying what's left of our telephone system. It is worth noting that the criminals are both local 'legitimate' Australian businesses and also Overseas call centres predominantly based in India and the Philippines, although they can be anywhere in the world.

Caller: Scamsters These calls are now a national security nuisance risk. Unleash the elite Australian intelligence and security forces upon this circus of clowns. The clogging of the Telephone network is enough reason to do something about this. What is the point of having a silent number if these clowns can get hold of it and ring at any time of the day?

A caller from this number left a message on my answering machine when I was waiting for and worried about a very important call. The message consisted of silence followed by "Goodbye". I would like something very bad to happen to these pests. In the meantime, I'm blocking the number.

Calls every day, just let it go to answering machine, sometimes when I don't have anything better to do, just let them listen to the win news or better still the voice, MKR or married at first site or some other crap.
