Caller: A robotic voice (American accent) from the Tax Office

The robotic voice claimed someone was filing tax returns under my name and that if I didn't get in touch with his office (03) 9013 5992) then the ATO would have to come after me and arrest me.

** SCAM ** Yet another unsolicited call, with what sounds like an Indian call centre... This time from 'Lets Go Web'.

Sounds dodgy.

Internet is changing to NBN. Will lose all internet if you don't press numbers. Robotic call. I hung up. Someone else got that it was the ATO and cancelling tax file number. Beware SCAM.

I got exactly the same thing today

A scam...received a Voicemail recording from unidentified male telling me "they" would get a warrant to arrest me if I did not call him back asap on the above number.

Caller: Same ... a robotic voice saying they were from the ato and that I was involved in a law suit

Obviously some sort of scam

It's a scam. Don't worry. ATO is not operating like this. I had a 1 hour heavy and really hard call with these scammers once before.

And as far as I'm aware, that's not how the ATO operates.
