Received a robot call on home phone saying my internet would be cut off in 24 hours. Pressed "1" to talk to someone. I thought it as a scam but wanted to hear what they said. Asked who I was talking to and the guy said his name was Kevin Albert from Telstra Crime. He said my internet was being used by someone else and a load of other bullsh*t. He wanted me to log onto my computer and he would take me through what needed to be done. I pretended I didn't know much about computers and he became very insistent on trying to get me to get onto my computer. What bastards! I told him I wanted my husband to call him back and he gave me the no. (03) 9013 4231 after a bit of an argument! My God, I hope no-one gets duped by these thieves.

Claimed to be from Telstra concerned about hacking attempts on my computer. When I expressed doubts put me onto her "supervisor". Same bullsh*t. Didn't seem to know whether they were from Telstra or NBN. Beware.

Caller: Scammers Claiming to be Telstra IT

Received phone call from a mobile 0472 747 816 a lady with strong Indian accent and claiming to be from Telstra and that apparently my IP Address requires changes for security reasons and my internet will be disconnected for awhile. That itself calling from a mobile phone no doubt a scam as she doesn't even know who I am, she should if she was calling from Telstra Customer Service / IT. Then a guy took over and gave his name David Wilson with his ref # TEL410056DQ and to call his team (03) 9013 4231 for verification. Yeah right, a team of scammers. He was very convincing but insisting to do something in the computer for him! Obviously, no complaints have been made since 2019 in this website reverseaustralia, they may have relaxed for a year and now they're back! Please watch out! This is a total scam!

Caller: Telstra NBN (allegedly)

Got robo call re disconnection of internet within 24 hours and to press 1 to connect to technician. Spoke with "Andrew Paul" who confirmed he was from Telstra NBN and our internet connection would be cancelled. As we hadn't received anything official from Telstra, I asked for a phone number to call. He gave me (03) 9013 4231, job no. D456852. I called an official Telstra number and they confirmed this is a scam.

Recorded message said something about switching to the NBN and to press 1 on my phone. I was then put through to "Suzanne" who incidentally had a heavy Indian accent. Said she was from Telstra NBN and that my internet would be cut off in 24 hrs as the NBN was now in my area. The NBN is just new here and I still have DSL. I said I thought I had 18 months to change over. She said no. It would be cut off if I didn't switch. I asked for the number to ring her back and after a brief pause she gave me the above number. She said she was from Telstra NBN. I asked why a Melbourne number and why not a 13 or 1800 number - I do not live in Victoria. She got a bit short with me and said to just ring the number she gave. No thanks.

Sounded dodgy, firstly a lady told me my internet would be disconnected in 24 hours, then passed me onto 'Andrew Paul' - very hard to understand him, I told him I didn't believe he was from Telstra and he gave me the number (03) 9013 4231 with a reference - I hung up and didn;t call back.

Caller: Lady saying she is from NBN then put on her senior tech person Steven

Steven was so convincing, followed instructions as I was waiting for NBN to call. requested telstra Delta number given as D156043. He asked to call (03) 9013 4231. Daisy Wilson answered when I asked for her delta number she gave it as TEL 4100056DG. She asked why am I calling her, should follow instructions if I want my computer fixed, wanted to know who asked to call her, when I answered Steven, she said Steven would call me back. No doubt it was a scam, Hanged up, my land rang rang again, was Steven he asked why I hanged up, then my mobile called private number, answered asked his name, response Steven, had a Steven on the land line and a Steven on the Mobile. Hanged up and closed the computer.

Caller: Claimed to be Daniel Bryan from Telstra/NBN

Called my mothers number and I happened to answer. Said her landline and internet would be disconnected in 24 hours. It is obviously a scam and I have reported to Telstra. Given we know the number, surely Telstra can stop of determine from where the calls are being made.

Claimed my NBN service had been hacked, asked me to look at an error log and that's when I became suspicious. Checked the call back number (03) 9013 4231 online discover I am not the only one. Haven't bother to call back as my fears were confirmed.
