This number calls me a lot. Waits for me to say hello three times and hangs up without saying anything. I would have thought if it was telemarketing they would start talking.

Just received a call from this number. A guy with Indian accent asked for my mum. Our homephone is under my name. My mum doesn't even remember our landline number. Just wondering how they got my number and my mum's name.

Just had a call from this number (03) 9011 8419. I picked up the phone and whoever it was put the phone down... Who is it?

I answered the phone and was asked to speak to a lady who hasnt lived here for over 5 years and is in a home. The foreign bloke (Indian) went on about how she/I had a problem with her/my computer and how he could see what the problem was from his end and how he could fix it. As I told him the lady no longer lived at this address and how she had never owned a computer in her life he then started to argue with me and went on about MY computer. As I had already had about 4 other calls from these people on the same afternoon, I by this time was not in a good mood with them. I told him to clear off and leave me alone and not to call this number again and put the phone down. Within about 5 minutes he called me back swearing at me down the phone before hanging up.
Not a day goes by without at least one call still from this company (so far today its 3 calls and counting). They need stopping as a lot of people live alone and are being harrassed and annoyed and probably scared by these pests.

Ok..me too same number..... so i checked telstra's website and they have an unwanted call number, which i have called and am still on hold to as i type.... but there is also a link to the "Do not call register" ..https://www.donotcall.gov.au/ ... which basically says that if you register then 30 days after registration you can make a complaint against telemarketers as follows;
