Caller said it was from the Australian Taxation Office and I had court case pending to sue me and to ring this number. So rang them back and within 2 rind went to some person saying they are from Australian Taxation Department, can I help you. My answer was, "this is not a ATO number and your nothing but a scammer. Then rang then again from a different phone and engaged every time, so tried again from my phone and the same result.

The buffoon calling from this number actually starts off with a voicemail saying THIS IS THE AUSTRALIAN TAX OFFICE. I told him INTERPOL was tapping our call and that all criminals details get logged. Interpol will be sending out a red notice for arrest of all scammers. The guy was shocked and hung up. He called from (07) 5641 4508.

Claimed she was from the ATO asked my name and then address. I refused my address and asked for what purpose were they calling and she hung up. Seems like a scam.

Said they’re ATO and I hung up when i detect that the person who’s talking have an Indian accent.

I had a voicemail - electronic recording advising if I wanted to avoid an arrest warrant I had to call them back. The message did not actually state where they were from but it wasn't an actual person but an electronic recording. I have blocked the number.

called saying they were from Australian Taxation office. was an automated voice. said there was a court case being filed in my name. and to call them back on (03) 9010 6111. after reading above comments, i didnt bother.

They rang saying I had to call them back about a pending legal matter. Did not use my name or give any other details.

I got the same call and the lady said she was from the Australian Taxation Office
