Called today at 7.30. Due to the posts here I have blocked the number on my iPhone. The do not call register does not work - so I just block them all now if they have had posts on this site.

Had a call from this number. It was an Automated survey from ReachTel. Just hung up. Do they really think people are going to do an automated survey. I would imagine that 99.9% of people would just hang up.

the definition of do not call means do not call simple as that. have a digital display number set your phone on silent then when it rings it does not disturb you and you can call the number if you know it. also google the number that will give you info if it is a scam or not.

If the number belongs to a Market/ Social Company they are exempt from the DO NOT CALL register and so are charities. I wish this fact was made more obvious on the DO NOT REGISTER'S web site.

Ok the place is a research company called ReachTEL I just went onto there website to see if it is them. You can also OPTOUT on there website so they wont call you. and then a chat window pops up LOL!!! So I thought I would chat. Here is the conversation.
ReachTEL Chat Hi. Thanks for stopping by. Can I help you with anything? →yes is your telemarketing number (03) 9005 9892 that keep calling? James: Yes it is. →Ok Im not sure why they are calling but Im not interested thanks →If I put my number is the opt out page does it actually work????? James: Yes it does, or I can add it now for you. James: Can I ask what you didn't like about the survey? →No one actually spoke on the other end...If people want to do a survey they will do it online..calling people is inconvienant for most to be honest James: Point taken, if you were to be surveyed what medium would you prefer? →Also you dont really know if the person you are speaking to on the other end is legitimate,?? so hence why I never share anything over the phone James: That's true, but like all surveying it requires a level of trust in the respondent. I suppose it doesn't matter what medium you survey people on, someone can always be dishonest. Do you get surveyed a lot? →Well that depends if the person is switched on like me I guess! I just dont share personal information. And if I did a survey it would only be online/email but only basic things .. Also no maybe they have given up calling lol James: Sounds like a good chance :) thank you for your time tonight, and apologies again for bothering. →no worries..enjoy!

They are at it again....They ring & don't speak. Just a word though to those who think that the Do Not Call register should screen these calls out. How that register works is that the caller has to voluntarily subscribe to that register & legitimate businesses do so that they do not call people who are not interested in receiving "cold calls" but there is nothing to stop the other pests from calling you.

Received call from this number at 6.10pm today. They hung up after 6 rings. Dialled *10# to retrieve their number. Seems being on the Do Not Call register is pointless if these morons can get through.

Biased survey, inadequate choices with electronic voice stating that I had not chosen as they had allowed, and use of survey answers is suspect.

Bastids still repeatedly wringing me daily and well into the evening. I'm going to disconnect the phone review my mobile plan and acquire Wireless broadband in the process - sorted.

I'm on the "do not call" register. Didn't answer, dialled *10# and then reverseaustralia after getting the above number.

So frustrated at all of these callers and not leaving a message when you don't answer. We don't answer private numbers or numbers that are not programmed in. After all, leave a message if you want to speak with us right? Had a call from this number last night - just hung up as usual.
