Scammers, they say your credit card has been used to purchase an itunes gift card from Ebay and they're calling to protect you from unauthorised purchases. Same number called me, same recorded message about eBay gift card. Blocked them. As above, got pre-recorded message telling me about purchase made on my visa - scam Caller: Recorded message saying from ebay
Recorded message saying from eBay and they are going to debut my credit card $199 for an iTunes gift card. Total spam.
some gift card scam. blocked. Blocked scam I had same call as others - rang back & gave no information other than told them it is an unauthorised transaction. Then spoke to my bank ...they thought it is a fishing attempt random numbers called probably an attempt to get control of your internet banking ebay scammers I called back the number (03) 9005 6163 spoke with a lady but couldn't hear her when she mentioned the company name Caller: A company saying they were eBay
This number kept leaving messages on my voicemail with the following message; ‘we will be deducting $199.00 from your account in regards to an Apple gift card you’re purchased on eBay. Please call us back on (03) 9005 6163‘ firstly, I don’t have an eBay account so the joke was on them. I notified eBay and they have had a number of people contact them today as well about the same issue. They will be contacting local authorities and telcos. The moment you call them they will tell you to download an app called ‘TeamViewer quick support’ this poor company and app creator has done nothing wrong but due to these scums trying to steal people’s money, they will be receiving some negative reviews. Basically the app allows a user to mirror your smart phone or computer and basically hold your info to ransom. So be smart and question every call or voicemail you receive.
Received call with pre recorded voice, saying that my credit card was going to be debited $199 from ebay for itunes gift cards... I hung up before it went any further.
Indian c*nts calling pretending to be from eBay Caller: Indian woman identifying herself as ‘Amy’
After having received call from recorded message - Indian woman blathering something about credit card cancellation and $100 plus cost to have matter rectified - I rang the number back. ‘Amy’ - after a little bit - finally claimed she was from Customer Service for eBay. She then said that to access my ‘file’ she needed my phone number. I gave the first four digits, then muffled the rest. I then said I would prefer to start with my name, which I proceeded to give . . . Well, my pen name anyway. She hung up. eBay would normally communicate via email.
