recorded message claiming to be the tax office threatening legal action if I don't call the number they left.

Screen locked and voice repeated "do not turn off your PC Trojan virus call the number on the screen. The number was (02) 4072 0554 claiming to be Microsoft support. The person who answered was to call back. Call received was (03) 9005 5894. When asked for proof of the Microsoft connection he said he would speak to his Manager. The question was never answered...Create the problem and fix the problem at a price.

This number belongs to scammers that will pretend they are Microsoft and then try to get into your machine to steal money from your bank accounts. DO Not call back or speak to them.

Recorded message left on my mobile as well - saying about law suit against me , and if i don't call back will be arrested.
When i called back only busy tone comes up . I am worried not may be my phone is hacked or something now since i called them back from my mobile .

Same thing, taxation office called. Taxation will never call people, they send letters, if they need anything from you.

It was a computer generated message saying there is a law suit against me and they will have me arrested if I con't call back. It's a total BS. If this was genuinely the case, they will have the police knocking on my door.

I rang the number back and they hung up after it rang once.

Got the same call just now claiming to be from the Taxation office and said to me if I cdon't call back, there will be legal action

left no message and i have tried returning the call 5 times with engaged tone coming up each time.
