Same message as above.. Scam.

Today at about 9.47 AM I received a landline call from 0613875177056, as I was out in the garden the call went to answering machine and the following message was recorded "Call (03) 8751 7055 (or 7056 not clear) immigeately the situation is dire if you don't call then you will face dire consequences". The voice appears to be from an elderly man.

Claimed a lawsuit was filed against my name and it would be on me if I didn't call back.

Same here this guy left a message saying a law suit being filed against you return the call or it will be on your head.

This was a recorded message, threatening me with legal action by the ATO unless I phone him back to fix the problem. Scammer!!!

Called number back. Man called himself Mike Wilton and said it was the Australian Taxation Office. This is not the ATO. It is a scam. ATO has automated menu , and never pick up and speak to someone real time. Beware.

SCAM - Recorded message supposedly from Australian Tax Office

Incomplete message left on answer machine 8:15am today. Male voice, American accent. " if we do not hear from you soon then the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye. Take care." Sounds threatening, I'm afraid to call back. Anyone know anything??

No name was left they said a law suit was filed against me. Funny they did not use my name or give there name or company. He just said call this number or it will be on your head.
